Public Participation

There are many ways to stay informed and participate in this planning process. In addition to this website, these include:

  • Formal plan review process – Now in progress, including public hearings with the Planning Commission and the Assembly. Schedule of Approval Process Steps (43 KB)
  • E-mail contact list – of all parties with an interest in the project, so we can easily distribute regular plan updates and links to draft products. Add your name to our email list and view past Hillside District Plan eNewsletters here.
  • Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) – regular Citizen Advisory Committee meetings occured throughout this planning process. The CAC was selected by the Municipality from a wide array of residents who volunteered their time to act as a sounding board and review body (see the CAC Member List (83KB)).
  • Household Survey – performed in early 2007 to capture a representative sample of public views on key plan issues.
  • Past Public Input - for example, records of previous workshops and public testimony.
