Reviewers of the Public Hearing Draft of the Hillside District Plan:

On Friday May 1st the initial draft of the Hillside District Plan Public Hearing Draft was posted on the website for public review.   Since that time a handful of errors were discovered.  These have been corrected in the version on the web.   These errors were also corrected in the printed version of the plan, now available at the Municipal Offices on Elmore.   

Corrections are listed below:

1. Policies & map number references – a number of small errors were corrected
2. Table of contents – several inconsistencies in labeling plan sections were corrected
3. Map 2.2 and Map 5.6 – older versions of these two maps were inadvertently included; these have been replaced
4. Implementation Chapter: Intro page and Policy 14-A  – Background information re adoption of drainage authority modified

Public Hearing Draft

The Public Hearing Draft will go before the Planning and Zoning Commission for review. It includes an appendix describing changes made to the previous draft, including a general response to public comments received by category.

Comment before the Public Hearing

The Anchorage Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) will hold a Public Hearing on the draft plan on Monday, June 15, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers of the Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali Street.

The Municipality and the Planning Team want to hear your views on the Public Hearing Draft. Comments are due by June 15, 2009.  Comments may be submitted in any of the following ways:

1. Mail to the Planning Department, Municipality of Anchorage, P.O. Box 196650, Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6650;
2. Fax to 907.343.7927;
3. Hand-deliver to the Planning Department in the Planning and Development Center at 4700 Elmore Road, Anchorage; 
4. Submit through the Planning Department’s Cases Online website (case number 2009-090); or
5. Provide testimony in person at the meeting.. 

To be included in the staff packet delivered to the Commission before the meeting, comments need to be submitted to the Planning Department by noon, Thursday, June 4, 2009.  Please contact the Planning Department at 907.343.7921 if you have questions regarding the Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing.
