The Hillside District Plan (HDP) is a Municipality of Anchorage study with the goal of establishing sound public policy that reflects the vision of residents and landowners for future Hillside growth. The plan will address specific issues such as residential densities, water and sewer service, drainage, roads, trails and open space. The Hillside District Plan will provide more specificity for land use and public services than what is outlined in the Anchorage 2020 Comprehensive Plan. It will also replace the Hillside Wastewater Management Plan.
At the workshops, a Summary of Stakeholder Meetings (103 KB) was requested. This document summarizes the meetings that Planning Team members have had with various individuals and HDP stakeholder groups.
The Pilot Watershed Drainage Plan for Little Rabbit and Little Survival Creeks is available for review. Please send comments to Mel Langdon at the MOA by June 30.

The third series of workshops for the Hillside District Plan provided a format for sharing ideas abut the Framework Plan alternatives (see below) with the Municipality and the Planning Team. The same workshop was held on two days, in two locations to accommodate schedules.
The Planning Team has been working hard over the past several months to prepare the Framework Plan, which outlines options on important Hillside issues to set the stage for informed, public discussion. It does not present decisions or recommend specific courses of action but rather presents alternatives for public review. We encourage you to take a look at this document before you come to the Public Workshops on April 23rd and 24th. Download the full plan (large file) or download individual sections (smaller files), below.
